To the left and right of the studio booth appears
a sketch of the mural "El hombre en la máquina del tiempo"
(Man at the Machine of Time), which Diego Rivera painted in 1933 for
the Rockefeller Center in New York. When Rivera refused to paint over
the portrait of Lenin, the work was destroyed in February 1934. That
same year the artist created a second version, which can be found in
the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City. |
