The Instituto de la Telenovela is a multidisciplinary project of exhibitions and research by Pablo Helguera in collaboration with other artists, curators, sociologists, anthropologists and art institutions from Eastern Europe, Latin America and the United States. The goal of the project is to objectively analyze the phenomenon of televised Latin culture market proliferation in a globalized world, the repercussions of such forces in the creation of a fictitious Latin reality, both to the interior and to the exterior of their frontiers, and to leave a record of that information
