All three studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana until 1994.
The Carpinteros were attempting to obtain a permit to build an artists' café on the roof of their house. Official permission was denied due to security issues.
The dream of their own Café is the theme of their installation for the show. Los Carpinteros
