Memories of a Town.
Sharjah is in a state of rapid change to meet with new regional and global urbanism. In its quest to transform itself to a modern city, traces of the old fabric of Sharjah remain mixed with the new, in a multilayered city. Houses of the old times are inhabited by new residents; poor expatriates come here to improve the way of live of the local people, and the houses they occupy now, are just memories of the older people who used to live in them. |
