Biennale of the End of the World Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina |

Ushuaia, on Tierra del Fuego, separated by the Strait of
Magellan from mainland Argentina, is the world's southernmost city. It will
host the 1st Biennale of the End of the World in March 2007, in the framework
of the International Polar Year 2007 - 2008. One of the themes it will focus
on is: "Ecological Urgencies. Present and Future of our Planet Earth",
with art interventions in the public space.
Organized by the "Fundación Patagonia Arte & Desafío" with
the support of the provincial governments of Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego.
Curatorial team: Leonor Amarante (Brazil), Ibis Hernández Abascal (Cuba),
Corinne Sacca Abadi (Argentina), Florencia Battiti (Argentina), Gustavo Romano
(Argentina, new media).
