"Staged in a courtroom, 'becoming' re-enacts a psychologically and politically charged space within which ideas of Self, Nation, State and the Body come into play." (Eliza Tan, Biennale Short Guide) Recurrent video sequences showing a puppet, perceived to be the alter ego of the artist, can be viewed on several displays in the installation.
