Hermès Column. 2006 A collection of suits customized for sea lions is presented by the artist in the fashion boutique Hermès. Additionally, he built a fake column, which does not have a mirror as the other columns, but a hole in it. Visitors peaking through it into a "secret" chamber are seeing a sea lion apparently approaching them out of the sea. Kuribayashi claims that the secret chamber behind the fake column leads to a tunnel connecting the boutique with his installation in Tanglin Camp. © Photo: Haupt & Binder |
