Utopia Station |
 |
"Utopia Station" is thought of as a stop or meeting place
in both the real and figurative sense. Over a period of time, seminars,
meetings, stations and performances are organized at different locations;
posters and publications are also a part.
Venice’s "Utopia Station" is the first major stop.
Its physical form was conceived by Rirkrit Tiravanija and Liam Gillick.
Artists and architects from across the globe design smaller structures,
models and walls. Around these, other small format objects and projects
will be presented. Posters resulting from an open call to 160 artists
will be shown here, as well as in public spaces around the city. Throughout
the entire summer, a diverse program will be held in "Utopia Station".
